How We Help

Transportation Services

For Shelters

If you have a foster or adopter that has passed your application process, but cannot make it to the shelter to pick-up their pet, we will transport for you! We want to ensure that no animal loses out on a forever home because of transportation-related issues.

For Rescues and Sanctuaries

We can help rescues and sanctuaries in 2 ways:

  1. We can pull from a shelter and transport the animal directly to you; and

  2. If you have a foster or adopter that has been approved by you, but is unable to pick-up, we will happily transport their new family member to them.

For Pet Parents

Let us bring your new pet home to you! If you are unable to transport or pick-up yourself from the shelter or rescue, we can help you.*

*Subject to approval through Ruger’s Rescues internal application process.

XL Bully Exemptions

The UK government has enacted a controversial ban on XL Bully breed dog types, and we’re here to help.

Ruger’s Rescues is dedicated to helping pet owners who are struggling to afford Certificates of Exemption for their beloved XL bullies. Through donations from our caring donors, we have been able to save dozens of XL bullies from these unjust and disheartening laws.

Contact Us to find out more if you are having trouble affording a Certificate of Exemption.

Finding a Cure

Finding a cure for Hemangiosarcoma is one of the driving forces of Ruger's Rescues. We are committed to donating money to the American Kennel Club Hemangiosarcoma Cancer Initiative to find a cure.

The first $2,500 of all donations received will be going to becoming a Sponsor of the Cancer Initiative. Read more here.
